The rubberized side of the pad can be cleaned with many mild cleaning agents including dish soap and water. The black fabric side can be cleaned using a dry method. Brushing off with a soft bristle or paint brush, vacuuming with the brush attachment or perhaps with a damp lint free cloth.

The product is made of layers of synthetic rubber with a tough tear resistant canvas like backing.

The supple surface of the writing pad dampens and generally moderates the writers ink pen strokes allowing for more contact area of the pen tip minimizing vague lines and “scratchiness” The resulting drawn pen strokes are wider, darker and contrast with the paper surface better.
